Spooktacular Halloween Fun with Mummy Candy Bar Gifts
Happy Halloween! I love this time of year! I love decorating, putting together a Halloween costume, and, of course, I love the candy. As a child, I used to savor my Halloween candy for months, carefully hidden away in my room, enjoying just a piece or two each day, extending my hard-earned stash all the way to Christmas when my stocking would be filled with more treats. Given that Halloween revolves around the joy of trick-or-treating, what better gift could you share than candy? If you’re on the lookout for a festive party favor, a sweet treat for kids, friends, or students, then look no further than a “Mummy Candy Bar Gift.”
Crafting Your Mummy Candy Bar Gift
This creative idea has been circulating on Pinterest for a while, and my mom and I decided to give it a try for her students. Here’s how we did it:
Materials Needed
- King-Size Candy Bars (we bought a box from Costco)
- White Streamers
- Googly Eyes
- Tape
- Hot Glue
- Printer Paper
- Hole Punch
- Printer
- Ribbon or Twine
Assembly Steps
- Begin by using tape to secure one end of the white streamer to the back of the candy bar.
- Wrap the streamer around the candy bar, as many times as needed to achieve your desired mummy-like appearance.
- Once wrapped, cut the streamer and use a new piece of tape to secure the other end to the back of the candy bar.
- Using hot glue, attach two googly eyes to the front of the candy bar, giving it a spooky mummy face.
- Print out your Halloween tag (or write it out).
- Hole punch the tag and use a ribbon to fasten it around the candy bar.
My favorite part of creating this treat was designing the tags. I used Canva to craft two tags for some variety. Given that the candy bars resemble mummies, I found two mummy jokes to add a dash of humor to the tags.
Mummy Joke Option 1
Question: What do mummies listen to on Halloween?
Answer: Wrap music!
Mummy Joke Option 2
Question: Why don’t mummies take time off?
Answer: They’re afraid to unwind!
This Mummy Candy Bar Gift is a fantastic and festive way to celebrate Halloween with your friends and family. Share the sweetness and spread the spooky joy!
